WHAT ARE THE EARLIER SIGNS

Early sign and symptoms of heart disease can be any of the following and probably two or three.  Lightheadedness, sudden dizziness, Nausea, indigestion, heartburn, abdominal pain, Shortness of breath, Cold sweat, Fatigue, also aching sensation in the chest or arms that may spread to your neck, jaw and back.

Myocardial infarction:-

Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy:-

Medication is usual given to help relax the heart muscle.  The medication slows the heart rate so it can pump more effectively. Other treatment are; Septal ablation, Septal myectomy and Implantable cardioverter-defibrillator.  Unlike heart failure patience, treatment for adult’s has change significantly over the last 15 years.  Implantable cardioverter-defibrillators have been effective for patients with Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy thought to be at risk of having cardiac arrest.   You can now life a near normal life expectancy. 


Mitral regurgitation:-

Mitral regurgitation can be treated with on for the same medication mention above, Diuretics.  This relieve fluid accumulation within the lungs and legs.   With Mitral regurgitation, what happens is that when the value fails to shut completely, the blood flows back into the upper heart chamber as it contracts from the lower chambers.  In the event the regurgitation doesn’t go away, it has the tendency to become long term.  While the chest pain can be bothersome and alarming, there is no increased risk of a heart attack or death.
